Apple Blondies with Cinnamon Maple Glaze
Description
Apple Blondies with Cinnamon Maple Glaze are made by blending a mix of protein powder, flour, sweeteners, baking agents, and spices into a batter enriched with Greek yogurt, applesauce, vanilla, butter, and melted peanut butter chips. Diced apples tossed with cinnamon and brown sugar are spread over the batter before baking, which adds moisture and bursts of fresh apple flavor throughout the blondies.
The blondies bake to a golden-brown with a tender crumb, where the warm cinnamon and maple glaze delivers a sweet, slightly spicy finish. The glaze is prepared separately by browning butter, then combining with sugar-free pancake syrup, cinnamon, and confectioners sugar to achieve a creamy, sweet topping.
This recipe suits those looking for a bar with moist texture and moderate sweetness, combining protein enhancement with comforting apple and cinnamon flavors. It is best enjoyed slightly warm or cooled once set, making a versatile treat for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Gluten-free and dairy-free substitutions are possible by using appropriate flour blends and dairy-free alternatives for yogurt and butter. The blondies also hold well refrigerated, allowing flavors to meld further and making them easier to slice cleanly.
