Apple Cheese Danish Bars

Apple Cheese Danish Bars are made by layering crescent roll dough with a smooth cream cheese and powdered sugar mixture, topped with apple pie filling, and baked until golden. A cinnamon sugar topping and optional vanilla glaze add sweetness and flavor, producing bars with a soft, flaky base and creamy, fruity filling ideal for dessert or brunch.

Description

The recipe creates Apple Cheese Danish Bars by pressing half of refrigerated crescent roll dough into an 8x8 baking dish to form the base. Cream cheese is beaten with powdered sugar and vanilla extract to a smooth consistency and spread over the dough. This layer is topped with apple pie filling, followed by the remaining crescent roll dough. Melted butter is poured over the top and optionally sprinkled with cinnamon sugar before baking at 375°F for 25 minutes. Once cooled, a glaze made from powdered sugar, softened butter, vanilla, and milk can be drizzled atop the bars for additional sweetness and shine.

The final bars feature a soft and flaky crust combined with a creamy and slightly tangy cream cheese layer, complemented by tender, sweet apple filling. The cinnamon sugar adds a warm spice note and a subtle crunch, while the glaze adds a moist finish.

These bars work well as a grab-and-go snack, a shareable dessert, or a breakfast treat alongside coffee or tea.
