Apple Cinnamon Bread
Description
This Apple Cinnamon Bread recipe incorporates peeled and chopped Granny Smith apples mixed into a batter made from flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, cinnamon, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Half of the batter is poured into a loaf pan, layered with the apple pieces, then topped with the remaining batter. A cinnamon swirl made from brown sugar, cinnamon, and sugar is sprinkled over the top and lightly pressed into the batter, creating a sweet, spiced topping once baked.
Baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, the bread requires 50 to 65 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The result is a light, moist bread with chunks of tender apple throughout and a cinnamon sugar crust that adds a delightful sweetness and slight crunch. The combination of vanilla, cinnamon, and tart apples delivers a comforting flavor profile.
Once cooled completely, this loaf can be sliced and served plain or with butter. It stores well at room temperature for several days and can be toasted for added warmth and texture.
