Apple Cranberry Crumble
Description
Apple Cranberry Crumble is made by layering a fruit filling of Gala apple slices and fresh cranberries with brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and a slight touch of flour to thicken juices. The topping combines oats, chopped walnuts or pecans, butter, and a little sugar, giving a crunchy contrast when baked.
Baked uncovered at a moderate temperature for nearly an hour, the fruit softens while the topping turns a golden brown and bubbly. The resulting dessert offers tart, juicy berries paired with tender, sweetened apples and a textured oat-nut crust. This crumble can be served warm on its own or with cream, yogurt, or ice cream.
