Apple Crisp
Description
Apple Crisp features a fruit filling made of peeled, cored apple chunks tossed with sugar, flour, lemon juice, vanilla, and cinnamon to create a sweet and slightly tart base with aromatic spice. The streusel topping is prepared by cutting butter into a mixture of flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon until coarse crumbs form. Together, they bake until the apples become tender and the topping turns a golden brown.
The final dish melds a soft, juicy fruit layer with a crispy, buttery streusel, providing contrasting textures in each bite. The cinnamon and vanilla offer warmth and depth to the flavor profile.
This dessert is best served warm, either on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, making it suitable for after meals or as a comforting snack during cooler weather.
