Light and fluffy apple fritters stuffed with chunks of juicy, tart apple coated in aromatic Masala sugar is the sweet snack or easy dessert of your dreams.

Ingredients
- 1½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp oil
- 5 apples peeled and chopped
- oil for frying
for the spiced sugar
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
Instructions
- Heat enough oil to deep-fry the fritters in a saucepan/pot.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, oil and vanilla.
- Whisk the liquid into the dry ingredients then fold in the apples.
- Fry spoonfuls of the mixture in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Combine the ingredients for the spiced sugar then coat the fritters in the sugar.
- Serve immediately.
