Argentinian Chimichurri Chicken Recipe
Description
This recipe begins with marinating medium-large chicken breast pieces in a mix of olive oil, fresh lime juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, and coriander. The marinade adds moisture and a subtle blend of spices. After chilling for 15 minutes, the chicken is threaded onto skewers and grilled until cooked through, allowing for slight charring and a smoky finish.
The prepared chimichurri sauce, made separately, is spooned over the grilled chicken before serving. This sauce brings herbaceous, tangy, and slightly spicy notes that complement the savory, juicy grilled meat. The combination creates a balanced flavor profile with contrasting bright and rich elements.
This dish can be served immediately, often alongside vegetables, rice, or salad. The marinated chicken's tender texture pairs well with the fresh, herbal chimichurri for a visually colorful and flavorful meal.
Leftover chimichurri sauce can be saved and used to dress vegetables or salads, extending the recipe's usefulness beyond the main dish.
