Asian BBQ Wings

Asian BBQ Wings are marinated chicken wings coated in a blend of honey, five-spice powder, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and soy sauce, then grilled until charred and golden. The marinade imparts a savory-sweet balance with aromatic spices and umami depth, while the grilling adds smokiness and crisp skin texture.

Description

This recipe uses a marinade combining honey, salt, five-spice powder, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and soy sauce to flavor chicken wings. The wings are rinsed and dried before being fully coated in this mixture and refrigerated overnight, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat well.

Grilling produces a crispy exterior with some char, intensifying the marinade's sweet and savory elements. Brushing the wings lightly with oil and a honey-water mixture during grilling enhances caramelization and prevents sticking.

The wings are best served immediately after grilling to preserve their crisp texture and juicy interior, suitable as an appetizer or main dish for gatherings.
