Asian Chopped Salad

This Asian Chopped Salad mixes romaine lettuce, green and purple cabbage, bell pepper, bean sprouts, snap peas, carrots, and green onions for a crisp, refreshing texture. Toasted almonds, sesame seeds, and cilantro add crunch and flavor, while a sesame ginger dressing provides a tangy, savory finish. This salad offers a colorful medley of vegetables with a hearty crunch and bright layers, ideal as a light main or side dish.

Description

The Asian Chopped Salad features finely chopped romaine lettuce and thinly sliced green and purple cabbage, along with colorful julienned carrots, bell pepper slices, snap peas, and fresh bean sprouts. Green onions add a mild onion flavor. These vegetables offer a mix of crisp and tender textures that hold well when combined.

The salad is tossed with a sesame ginger dressing that lends a balanced sweet and tangy taste with a hint of garlic and ginger. Toasting almonds in sesame oil enhances their nutty flavor and adds a delicate crunch. A finishing sprinkle of cilantro and sesame seeds provides fresh herbal and nutty notes, giving depth without overpowering the fresh vegetables.

It is served chilled or at room temperature, suitable as a refreshing side salad or a lighter meal component. The colorful ingredients make it visually appealing and nutritionally diverse.
