Avocado Tuna Salad

Avocado Tuna Salad mixes drained canned tuna with diced tomato, yellow bell pepper, red onion, parsley, and diced avocado, then lightly dressed with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. The salad has a fresh, chunky texture with citrus brightness and creamy avocado, perfect for sandwiches or wraps.

Description

This salad incorporates canned tuna, carefully drained, with fresh vegetables like tomato, yellow bell pepper, and red onion for a crisp contrast. Chopped parsley adds herbal notes while diced avocado lends creaminess. The dressing combines olive oil and fresh lemon juice, accented with salt and pepper to season all ingredients evenly.

The mixture is tossed gently to keep the avocado intact and served in sandwich thins, pita pockets, toasted bread, or wrapped in lettuce leaves, adapting to different meal preferences. The result is a flavorful, protein-rich preparation with varied texture from creamy avocado and crispy vegetables.

Choosing light tuna is recommended for frequent consumption due to mercury content differences compared to white albacore tuna, which is better for occasional use. For albacore, mashing the tuna slightly improves texture. Nutrition information excludes bread or wraps.
