Ingredients

Sliders

  • 12 ounces Bacon chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef I use 93% lean, lean
  • 2 Tablespoons onion or 1/2 cup freshly chopped, dried minced
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 lices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Colby-Jack cheese shredded
  • 12 dinner rolls (I like to use King's Hawaiian rolls)

Mustard Sauce (optional)

  • 2 Tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 Tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional

Toppings (optional)

  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • pickles
  • ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Chop the bacon in small pieces. Cook chopped bacon in a large skillet, over medium heat, until crisp. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate to soak up grease. Set aside.
  2. Carefully wipe skillet clean. Cook and crumble the ground beef in the same skillet the bacon was cooked in. Add onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Continue to stir and cook until beef is no longer pink; drain grease.
  3. Meanwhile, cut the dinner rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half of the rolls side by side onto a baking sheet. Top the bottom half of rolls evenly with the cheese slices. Top cheese with the cooked beef; spreading out evenly. Then top beef with cooked bacon; spreading out evenly. Sprinkle the half cup of shredded cheese all over the bacon. Place the top half of rolls over the top.
  4. Mustard Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Brush the sauce all over the tops of the sliders. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
  5. Bake sliders, uncovered, for about 12 to 14 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tops of rolls are golden and toasted. Serve sliders warm and with your favorite hamburger toppings. Enjoy!
