Bacon Topped Petite Turkey Meatloaf with BBQ Sauce

This petite turkey meatloaf recipe mixes grated zucchini, minced onion, diced red pepper, seasoned breadcrumbs, BBQ sauce, spices, and ground turkey, topped with bacon slices and additional BBQ sauce. Baking produces small loaves with a moist interior, smoky flavor from bacon, and tangy BBQ glaze. The grated vegetables add moisture and texture, while the bacon offers a crisp finish.

Description

The Bacon Topped Petite Turkey Meatloaf with BBQ Sauce brings together grated zucchini squeezed dry, minced onion and diced red pepper for moisture and mild sweetness. Seasoned breadcrumbs help bind the mixture along with BBQ sauce, egg, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and lean ground turkey. The mixture is formed into five small loaves in a loaf pan, topped with halved bacon slices, and finished with extra BBQ sauce on each.

Baking at 350°F for about 25 minutes cooks the meatloaves through while allowing the bacon to brown and the BBQ sauce glaze to set. The bacon adds a smoky, savory note and a contrasting texture to the tender meatloaf. This recipe portion size is ideal for individual servings or small gatherings.

The combined ingredients create a flavorful, moist meatloaf with vegetable inclusions that balance the ground turkey. The smoked paprika and BBQ sauce contribute depth and smoky sweet flavors, fitting well as a main dish alongside sides such as vegetables, salads, or grains.
