Baja Shrimp Tacos Recipe
Description
The recipe starts by quickly sautéing medium, precooked shrimp in olive oil with a seasoning blend including garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. The shrimp are heated through until pink and then finished with a squeeze of fresh lime juice, which adds brightness and tang. The warm shrimp are then placed on corn tortillas layered with shredded red cabbage for crunch, jalapeño slices for mild heat, chopped cilantro for herbaceous notes, and cotija cheese to introduce a salty, crumbly texture.
Baja Shrimp Tacos are well suited for casual meals where the combination of seasoned seafood, fresh vegetables, and creamy cheese create a textural contrast. Serving with typical taco sides complements this dish.
