Ingredients
- 2 medium cabbage heads, cored and cut into 2-inch pieces
- ¾ cup American cheese, shredded
- ¾ cup swiss cheese, shredded
- ½ tablespoon white pepper
- 1 tablespoon kosher
- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Steam the cabbage, working in batches if necessary.
- In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Add the cabbage and stir to coat.
- Spoon the cabbage into a large casserole dish, packing down, if necessary, to make the cabbage flush with the dish.
- Sprinkle with the cheeses and bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with parsley and serve.
