Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti
Description
This casserole starts with spaghetti cooked and drained, mixed with a browned ground beef and onion base seasoned with salt, pepper, dried basil, oregano, parsley, and optionally red pepper flakes. Crushed tomatoes are added to create a rich sauce. Separately, cream cheese and sour cream are whisked together to add creaminess.
The spaghetti is layered in a baking dish alternately with the cream cheese mixture and beef sauce, then topped with shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Baking at 350°F until the dish is heated through and bubbly brings the flavors together and melts the cheeses for a comforting meal with a creamy and slightly tangy profile balanced by the savory tomato and beef.
Fresh parsley sprinkled on top adds color and a touch of freshness.
