Baked Lemon Butter Salmon Pasta
Description
This dish begins by baking skinless, boneless salmon fillets with slices of garlic, butter, olive oil, and fresh lemon juice. The salmon is baked until just cooked through, allowing it to remain moist and flaky. After a brief cooling period, the salmon is flaked into large chunks and combined with cooked fettuccine pasta and chopped fresh dill or parsley. The pasta is tossed in the pan with the salmon and its juices, which infuse the noodles with subtle lemon and garlic flavors.
The flavor profile combines rich butter and olive oil with the bright acidity of lemon and the freshness of herbs, complementing the tender salmon flesh. The garlic slices add a gentle aromatic note, and the seasoning of salt and black pepper finishes the dish. Traditionally, parmesan cheese is not added, preserving the clean taste of the seafood and lemon, though it can be included per preference.
Serve this pasta immediately to enjoy the fresh herb notes and the flaky texture of the salmon. The recipe suggests flexibility with fresh herbs, encouraging substitutions such as basil or chives depending on availability and taste preference.
