Baked Pears with Ricotta Recipe
Description
This dessert recipe starts by baking cored, sliced rose pears at 375°F until tender but still holding shape. The baked pears provide a warm, soft foundation that retains a delicate structure. The ricotta cheese blended with sweetened condensed milk adds a creamy, smooth topping that contrasts with the pears' texture. Shredded chocolate sprinkled over the pears lends a touch of richness and slight bitterness, especially nice if using chocolate with roasted hazelnuts. Fresh raspberries crown the dish, contributing a fresh acidic brightness to balance the dessert's sweetness.
Baked pears with ricotta make an elegant yet uncomplicated dessert suited for serving chilled after refrigeration. The layered textures and balanced flavors make it enjoyable as a light finish to a meal or as a special treat emphasizing seasonal fruit and wholesome dairy.
