Baked Pears with Walnuts and Honey
Description
This straightforward dessert recipe features large ripe pears cut in half and seeded, then arranged upright on a baking sheet. Ground cinnamon is sprinkled over the exposed flesh, followed by a generous topping of crushed walnuts and a drizzle of honey on each half. Baking at 350°F for 30 minutes softens the pears while allowing the honey to caramelize and the walnuts to toast lightly.
The combination of warm pears, fragrant cinnamon, crunchy walnuts, and sweet honey creates a comforting dessert with contrasting textures. The flesh of the pears becomes tender yet holds shape, making it pleasant to eat on its own or alongside a dollop of yogurt or frozen yogurt for a creamy addition.
This dish suits a light, fruit-focused dessert or a wholesome afternoon snack, especially when fresh pears are in season. Its minimal ingredient list keeps preparation simple with a natural sweetness emphasized by baking.
