Baker’s One Bowl Death by Chocolate Cookies

This is a simple recipe for baker’s one bowl death by chocolate cookies that everyone will be craving more. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 packages 16 squares of Baker’s Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, divided
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 2 egg large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups walnuts optional, chopped, or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Chop 8 squares (1 package) of the chocolate into small pieces, then set aside.
  3. Add the remaining chocolate squares into a microwavable safe bowl for one to two minutes, remove the bowl and stir the chocolate until it completely melts and is smooth in texture. Place it back into the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute if needed.
  4. Once the chocolate is melted, add the sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract and combine.
  5. Add the flour and baking powder and mix just until the cookie dough comes together.
  6. Add the remaining chopped chocolate and walnuts or pecans and mix to combine.
  7. Using an ice cream scoop or spoon, deposit dollops of cookie dough onto a lined cookie sheet.
  8. Place into oven and bake for 11 to 12 minutes or until cookies are slightly puffed and feel set in the center.
  9. Allow the chocolate cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes.
  10. Transfer the baked cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
