Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookies
Description
Using softened butter creamed with both brown and white sugars creates a balanced sweetness and texture for these chocolate chip cookies. Eggs and vanilla provide moisture and flavor depth. The dry ingredients include flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt to ensure proper rise and a tender crumb. Mini chocolate chips are folded in at the end, distributing sweet pockets throughout. Scooping uniform balls and baking at 325°F until edges turn golden prevents overbaking and preserves a soft cookie center.
The cookies cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet before transfer, which lets them set properly. Variations include replacing chocolate chips with nuts, M&Ms, raisins, or other candies for new flavor experiences. The recipe was halved from an original large batch, giving reasonable yield and easy preparation.
These cookies suit snack times, casual dessert, or sharing. They maintain softness due to the baking method and ingredient balance. Adjusting cook time carefully guards against dryness.
