  • 7/8 cup butter 7/8 cup = 1/2 cup + 6 tablespoons, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pound mini chocolate chips (1/2 bag)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together using a paddle attachment on medium speed for 3-4 mixtures .
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. 
  3. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients and add to sugar blending on medium speed until combined.  
  4. Slowly mix in the chocolate chips. 
  5. Scoop with cookie dough scoop or small ice cream scoop. 
  6. Bake at 325 for 14-15 minutes until the edges turn golden brown. Do not over bake! Allow cookies to cool for 10 minutes on the cookie sheet then move a cooling rack.

Notes

  • The recipe is a halved version of a large batch yielding 6-7 dozen cookies.
  • Chocolate chips may be substituted with mix-ins such as peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, mini M&Ms, raisins, nuts, chopped candy bars, sprinkles, pretzels, or cherry chips.
