  • 2 1/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line a cookie baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract into a mixing bowl and beat until the mixer is creamy. Add the eggs and beat until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt and whisk together.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to creamed butter mixture and mix until the cookie dough comes together. Add the chocolate chips and mix to combine.
  5. Drop the cookie dough by teaspoonsful onto the lined cookie sheet spacing each piece apart by 3 inches.
  6. Bake the chewy chocolate chip cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking tray for a few minutes, then place them onto a wired cookie rack to completely cool.
