Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line a cookie baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract into a mixing bowl and beat until the mixer is creamy. Add the eggs and beat until combined.
- In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt and whisk together.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to creamed butter mixture and mix until the cookie dough comes together. Add the chocolate chips and mix to combine.
- Drop the cookie dough by teaspoonsful onto the lined cookie sheet spacing each piece apart by 3 inches.
- Bake the chewy chocolate chip cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking tray for a few minutes, then place them onto a wired cookie rack to completely cool.
