Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting
Description
These banana bars begin with a batter containing all-purpose flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt mixed into a creamy blend of butter, sugar, eggs, mashed banana, lemon juice, and milk. The mixture yields a moist and tender texture enhanced by cinnamon’s warmth. Chopped pecans can be added for extra crunch.
The baked bars are cooled before spreading a cream cheese frosting made from beaten cream cheese, butter, vanilla, salt, and powdered sugar. This frosting provides a rich, slightly tangy layer that complements the banana flavor.
Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting can be stored in the refrigerator and served chilled or at room temperature, making them convenient for make-ahead desserts or snacks.
