Cake:

  • 3 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter softened to room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 6 egg large
  • 1 ½ cups banana mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F, grease and flour a bundt pan and set aside
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar
  4. Add the eggs one at a time; mixing well after each addition
  5. Mix in the banana and vanilla extract
  6. Slowly add the flour mixture first then with the sour cream mixture
  7. Alternately add the flour and sour cream in 2-3 smaller additions
  8. Mix well after each addition.
  9. Transfer batter to the prepared baking pan, then bake in preheated oven.
  10. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
  11. Allow to cool 5 minutes before removing from pan to cool completely
  12. Prepare the glaze by mixing together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  13. Drizzle over the completely cooled cake
  14. Serve and enjoy!
