Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta
Description
Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta features spaghetti combined with shrimp that are oven-roasted after being tossed with olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. The shrimp develops a tender yet firm texture and a lightly smoky flavor from the paprika. The creamy sauce has a base of mayonnaise mixed with Thai sweet chili sauce, pressed garlic, lime juice, and optional sriracha and crushed red pepper flakes, providing a tangy, spicy, and slightly sweet contrast. Once combined with the cooked pasta, the textures come together into a rich yet balanced dish.
This pasta works well as a main course offering a different take on shrimp pasta with its creamy, spicy sauce and bold seasoning. The fresh chopped parsley adds a touch of brightness as a garnish.
The recipe notes suggest that Greek yogurt can be substituted for mayonnaise to change the sauce texture and flavor.
