Homemade fresh basil flatbread is easy to make and the perfect crispy base for a flatbread pizza to top with your favorite ingredients for lunch or dinner!

Ingredients
- ¼ oz active dry yeast
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 ¾ cup bread flour
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ¼ cup fresh basil
- ¾ cup water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Combine the yeast, sugar, flour, salt and basil in a large bowl.
- Pour the water in and mix until a solid ball forms.
- Coat another large bowl with the olive oil, then place the dough inside.
- Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- After the dough has risen, punch the dough down then place on a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes.
- Roll the dough into 3 or 4 flatbreads.
- Place on a grill over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes.
- Flip and grill for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the bread begins to brown and bubble.
