BBQ Grape Sloppy Joes

BBQ Grape Sloppy Joes combine ground beef cooked with onion, grape jelly, and barbecue sauce to create a sweet and savory sloppy joe filling. Topped with a creamy cream cheese spread made from cream cheese, mayonnaise, and onion juice, these sandwiches are served on brioche buns, offering a rich, slightly tangy contrast to the barbecue beef.

Description

This recipe features ground beef browned with diced onions, then simmered with grape jelly and barbecue sauce until the mixture thickens and becomes saucy but not dry. The grape jelly adds a fruity sweetness that balances the smoky and tangy barbecue flavors.

The sandwich assembly includes a cream cheese spread that combines softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion juice, and seasonings, bringing a smooth and slightly tangy element that complements the warm meat mixture. Serving the sloppy joe filling on soft brioche buns rounds out the sandwich with a buttery, tender bread.

These sloppy joes are practical for casual meals and offer a flavor twist on the classic sloppy joe by adding grape jelly and a rich cream cheese spread. Leftover cream cheese spread can be refrigerated up to a week.
