These bear paw cookies are simple to make using box cake mix, and they are adorable and super tasty!

For cookie base:

  • 15 ounce white cake mix I used Betty Crocker, box
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 egg room temperature
  • cup butter melted, unsalted
  • ½ cup macadamia nuts roughly chopped

For frosting:

  • ½ cup butter softened to room temperature, unsalted
  • 1-1 ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • ½ teaspoon coconut extract optional for added coconut flavor
  • teaspoon salt optional to balance out sweetness

Toppings:

  • milk chocolate candy melts
  • semisweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup coconut shredded

Notes

  • These cookies are best eaten the same day but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
