Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef tips sliced into 1 inch cubes
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 green pepper sliced
- 1 red pepper sliced
- 1 onion diced
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp Coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp tapioca flour
- 2 cups brown rice
Instructions
- To start, place the beef tips in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss until the beef is fully seasoned.
- In a large pan, add the olive. Heat over medium until hot. Pan sear the steak on all sides. Then, place the meat on a plate.
- Add the butter to the pan. Once melted, add in the onions and bell peppers. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, until tender.
- Next, add in the broth and coconut aminos. Place the beef tips back in the pan. Bring to a boil. Then, reduce the heat to low. Place a lid on the pan.
- Lightly simmer for 1 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender. Just before serving, make the brown rice according to the package instructions.
- Once the beef is tender, make the slurry. Take about ¼ cup of the liquid from the pan and add it to a small bowl. Mix in the tapioca flour, creating a creamy sauce. Stir this back into the pot.
- Stir until the gravy sauce has thickened.
- Finally, serve! Add the brown rice to a plate. Top with beef tips, peppers, onions, and gravy.

- Use sirloin, tenderloin, or stew meat for the best results.
- Coconut aminos is our favorite soy sauce replacement.
- Continue simmering until the beef is fall apart tender.
- The only replacements for tapioca flour are arrowroot powder and cornstarch. Cornstarch is very processed, so we recommend tapioca flour or arrowroot powder.
