Berry Buttercream Frosting Recipe
Description
This frosting begins by pureeing a mix of blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries. The puree is combined with softened butter and powdered sugar to form a creamy frosting with natural berry flavor and color. Adjusting the amount of puree allows control over consistency, making it suitable for spreading or piping onto cooled baked goods.
The final frosting is spread on cupcakes and topped with fresh berries, which complement the berry flavor and add visual appeal. This recipe uses real fruit puree rather than artificial flavoring, lending a fresh taste and a lightly speckled appearance.
