Best Ever Ground Beef Tacos

Best Ever Ground Beef Tacos feature seasoned, browned ground beef simmered in tomato sauce and beef broth until thickened, then served in warm flour tortillas with toppings like lettuce, cheese, tomato, sour cream, and avocado. The flavorful spice blend creates a balanced taco filling adaptable for casual meals or gatherings.

Description

This taco recipe starts by browning lean ground beef in a skillet and seasoning it with salt, chili powder, garlic and onion powders, and cumin, which provide classic southwestern flavors. The meat is broken into small pieces as it cooks for even browning and texture. Tomato sauce and beef broth are added to the mixture and simmered until the liquid reduces and thickens, concentrating the flavors and moistening the beef.

Flour tortillas are warmed and filled with spoonfuls of the beef mixture. Optional toppings like shredded lettuce, cheese, diced tomato, sour cream, and avocado add freshness, creaminess, and texture contrast, customizing each taco to taste.

With enough filling for about eight tacos, this recipe is practical for weeknight dinners or small groups. The beef can be prepared ahead and reheated gently to retain moisture.
