  • 2/3 cup butter softened, salted
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 egg large
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour scooped & leveled (211g)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts coarsely chopped
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add vanilla extract and eggs and mix well.
  3. Combine the flour, cocoa, salt and soda and whisk, then add to the butter, sugar and eggs and stir to combine. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
