Best Italian Dressing Recipe

This Italian dressing blends extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, grated Parmesan, honey, garlic powder, and a range of dried herbs and spices. The mixture is blended until smooth, creating a rich yet tangy vinaigrette with flecks of parmesan for depth. The dressing benefits from refrigeration to develop fuller flavors and serves well as a versatile salad dressing or marinade.

Description

The Best Italian Dressing Recipe consists of olive oil and red wine vinegar combined with grated Parmesan cheese, honey, garlic powder, and herbs such as basil, oregano, parsley, rosemary, thyme, and spices including paprika, red pepper flakes, fennel seeds, and celery seed. Blending these ingredients emulsifies the mixture but leaves small Parmesan flecks dispersed throughout, adding texture and umami.

The balance of acidity from the vinegar and sweetness from the honey cuts through the oil’s richness while the herbs and spices deliver aromatic, savory, and slightly spicy elements. After blending, the dressing should be refrigerated for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the herbs to infuse fully.

This dressing holds for up to two weeks and is suitable for salads or as a marinade for grilled meats or vegetables, lending herbal and cheesy notes that enrich simple preparations.
