Best Zucchini Ravioli Recipe

The Best Zucchini Ravioli Recipe uses thin zucchini strips as a fresh, low-carb alternative to pasta dough, filled with a ricotta and Parmesan cheese mixture flavored with basil and garlic parsley salt. The ravioli are baked in pasta sauce topped with mozzarella, creating a light, cheesy dish with tender zucchini edges and a rich filling.

Description

This recipe calls for thinly sliced zucchini strips, made using a mandoline or similar tool, to form a ravioli envelope around a creamy ricotta, Parmesan, and fresh basil filling seasoned with garlic parsley salt. The filled zucchini ravioli are placed in a baking dish covered with pasta sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, and baked at 375°F until golden on top.

The method produces delicate baked zucchini parcels with a smooth and herbed cheese filling. The mild zucchini offers a tender texture, while baking in tomato sauce and mozzarella adds richness and a slightly browned finish. This dish delivers a vegetable-based twist on traditional ravioli, making it lighter but still satisfying.

Serve zucchini ravioli warm as a main dish or a vegetable side paired with salad or crusty bread. The baked assembly helps the flavors meld and the cheese melt nicely over tender zucchini layers, offering an inviting presentation and balanced texture.
