Bird's Nest Cookies

Bird's Nest Cookies are clusters of chow mein noodles coated in melted semisweet and butterscotch chips, shaped into nests to hold candy eggs in the center. These no-bake treats offer a crisp, crunchy texture combined with rich chocolate and butterscotch sweetness, ideal for spring or holiday occasions.

Description

This recipe melts semisweet and butterscotch chips together in the microwave, then folds the mixture into crunchy chow mein noodles. The coated noodles are scooped and molded into small nests with hollows in the center, ready to hold decorative candy eggs, creating a playful presentation. The cookies cool and set quickly at room temperature.

The contrast between the crispy noodles and smooth chocolate chips gives a unique texture profile that is light yet flavorful. Requesting semisweet chips provides balanced sweetness, but milk or dark chocolate can be used to adjust the flavor to preference.

These cookies are simple to prepare without baking and are suitable for serving as fun snacks during themed parties or holiday celebrations.
