Birds Nest Cookies
Description
This recipe melts milk chocolate and butterscotch chips together to form a smooth coating. Tossing crisp chow mein noodles in the chocolate mixture creates a textured cookie base. The mixture is spooned onto parchment paper and shaped into small nest forms before topping each with candy eggs.
The baked texture is crunchy due to the chow mein noodles preserved by the chocolate coating, while the combination of milk chocolate and butterscotch provides a rich, sweet flavor. Setting the nests until firm allows them to hold their shape.
Birds Nest Cookies can be stored airtight at room temperature for a few days and make colorful, playful snacks ideal for holiday dessert tables or casual treats.
