Birthday Cake Protein Cookie Dough

This Birthday Cake Protein Cookie Dough combines cake mix with casein and whey protein powders for a high-protein, no-bake treat. Light brown sugar and almond extract add sweetness and flavor, while rainbow sprinkles provide a festive touch. The dough has a soft, sweet texture similar to edible cookie dough, making it suitable as a snack or dessert. It can be stored chilled for days or frozen for longer keeping.

Description

The recipe begins by heat-treating the cake mix in the microwave for safety, then creaming together the butter and brown sugar for a smooth base. Protein powders, cake mix, almond extract, and almond milk are gently mixed in to form a cookie dough-like consistency. Rainbow sprinkles fold in for added color and crunch. This mixture requires no baking and can be served immediately.

The texture is soft and scoopable, resembling edible cookie dough typically used as a treat on its own. This option is useful for those wanting to add protein to a dessert-like snack. The almond extract gives a subtle nutty flavor complementing the vanilla protein powders. It keeps well refrigerated for about a week or frozen for up to three months.

This protein cookie dough is an alternative to traditional baked cookies that can be eaten raw, offering a unique way to enjoy cake flavors with added protein without baking.
