Black Bean Dip

Black Bean Dip blends black beans, diced red and yellow bell peppers, jalapeño, garlic, scallions, Rotel tomatoes with green chili, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice and zest. This combination creates a chunky, flavorful dip with a balance of spicy, fresh, and tangy notes, perfect for serving with tortilla chips.

Description

The Black Bean Dip recipe marries soft rinsed black beans with finely diced bell peppers, seeded jalapeño, minced garlic, thinly sliced scallions, drained Rotel tomatoes with green chili, finely diced red onion, chopped cilantro, lime zest and juice, and seasoning of kosher salt and black pepper. These ingredients are combined and tossed to create a vibrant, colorful dip bursting with varied textures and fresh flavors from the vegetables and herbs. The lime and cilantro add brightness that complements the mild heat from the jalapeño.

This dip is commonly served chilled with crunchy tortilla chips, making it a suitable appetizer or snack for casual gatherings. It contrasts nicely with crisp chips through a slightly chunky and well-seasoned profile.

Leftover dip should be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated, maintaining quality for up to five days. This makes it convenient for advance preparation and enjoying over several days.
