Description
Blackened Chicken Alfredo features boneless skinless chicken breasts filleted and coated with blackening seasoning, then seared in hot olive oil until browned on both sides. This method creates a crisp, flavorful crust on the chicken while keeping the inside moist.
The pasta is cooked al dente and combined with a smooth Alfredo sauce made in the same pan. The sauce builds from melted butter and garlic, to heavy cream, and finishes with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. This approach allows the sauce to carry the browned bits and flavors left behind in the skillet, enriching the overall taste.
Sliced blackened chicken is served atop the fettuccine coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce. The balance between the spicy seasoning of the chicken and the rich, cheesy sauce makes this dish hearty and indulgent. It’s well suited for a comforting dinner without requiring many ingredients or steps.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breast boneless skinless
- 2 Tbsp blackening seasoning
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 12 oz Fettuccine pasta
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp garlic minced
- 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
Instructions
- Filet the chicken breasts so that you have 4 pieces of chicken. Coat both sides of the chicken with the blackened seasoning.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat. Place the olive oil in the pan. When the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts to the pan. Cook the chicken for 5 minutes on each side until each side is brown. Then transfer the chicken to a separate plate and cover with foil to keep it warm.
- Cook the pasta to al dente based on the package instructions. Strain the pasta.
- Then add the butter and garlic to the same pan that you cooked the pasta in and cook for 3-5 minutes on low heat until the butter is melted and the garlic is fragrant. Then whisk in the heavy whipping cream. Cook while whisking for approximately 3-5 minutes until the cream is heated through.
- Remove the pan from the heat and then stir in the parmesan cheese.
- Toss the pasta with the homemade Alfredo sauce.
- Slice the chicken and serve it on top of the noodles with the Alfredo Sauce.
- Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
