  • 140 g penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 shallot diced
  • 2 garlic crushed, cloves
  • 100 ml single cream
  • 50 g ham chopped
  • 50 g blue cheese crumbled
  • 50 ml pasta water
  • 2 pinch sea salt
  • 2 pinch black pepper
  • 40 g pine nuts

Instructions

  1. Cook 140 g Penne pasta according to the packet instructions.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoon Butter in a large pan and add 4 Shallots and 2 Garlic cloves. Cook until softened, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add 100 ml Single cream and 50 g Ham and simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Drain the pasta, reserving 50 ml Pasta water. Add the pasta, 50 g Blue cheese, 2 pinch Sea salt and ground black pepper and the reserved pasta water. Mix well.
  5. Serve immediately. Top with more blue cheese and the 40 g Pine nuts.

Notes

  • Serve the blue cheese sauce with gnocchi as an alternative pasta option.
  • Use fresh tagliatelle for a quicker pasta preparation.
  • Always reserve some pasta water before draining to help create a silky sauce texture.
