Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter cold, cut into cubes, unsalted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the topping.
  3. Using a pastry cutter, cut in the cold, cubed butter until it starts to stick together, about 3 to 4 minutes. If the mixture is powdery it needs to be mixed more. Refrigerate while preparing the blueberries.
  4. In a 9x9-inch dish or a 2 qt baking dish, combine blueberries, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 2 tablespoons flour.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the blueberry mixture and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  6. Serve warm with ice cream.
