Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies
Description
Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies feature a base of softened butter creamed with granulated and brown sugars, then enriched with egg and vanilla for depth. Rolled oats and all-purpose flour bring texture and structure, while cinnamon and leavening agents add subtle warmth and light rise. Fresh blueberries fold in gently with white chocolate chunks. These cookies are baked briefly at 350°F to maintain soft, slightly chewy centers with crisp edges. Cooling briefly on the baking sheet helps them set before transferring.
The soft and moist texture contrasts with the chewy oats and melty white chocolate pieces, complemented by the fresh blueberry bursts. This combination produces a nuanced flavor profile with hints of spice from cinnamon and mild sweetness from both sugars and chocolate. The quick bake time preserves the tender interior while allowing a golden edge to form.
These cookies can be enjoyed fresh or stored in an airtight container for up to four days, making them convenient for a homemade treat or packed snack. Their balanced sweetness and whole-grain oats make them a versatile option for casual gatherings or teatime bites.
