Ingredients
- 3 cups bolognese sauce
- 2 cups béchamel sauce
- 500 g (1lb) pasta reserve 1 cup cooking water, cooked al dente, of your choice
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese grated
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 200ºc.
- Combine the bolognese, bechamel and cooked pasta and mix well. Add a little of the pasta cooking water to loosen the consistency, if necessary.
- Transfer half of the pasta to an oven-proof casserole dish then sprinkle over half of the cheese.
- Add the remaining pasta and top with the rest of the cheese.
- Place in the oven and bake until bubbling and the top is golden.
- Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- The pasta bake can be assembled in advance, covered, and stored in the refrigerator for up to one day or frozen for up to one month.
- If baking from frozen, add up to 30 minutes extra cooking time to ensure it is heated through.
