Bourbon Apple Cider Glazed Turkey Meatballs

These turkey meatballs are flavored with grated apple, Dijon mustard, and apple cider, baked until cooked through, then coated in a bourbon apple cider glaze. The glaze balances sweet maple syrup, tart apple cider, and warm spices like ginger and cinnamon, offering a flavorful and moist dish with a touch of fall-inspired sweetness.

Description

The recipe uses lean ground turkey combined with grated apple and panko for moisture and texture, while Dijon mustard and spices season the mixture. After shaping into small balls and baking at 425°F, the meatballs develop a lightly browned exterior and tender interior.

The accompanying glaze is prepared by boiling apple cider with soy sauce, maple syrup, bourbon, and warming spices, then thickened with a cornstarch slurry. The cooked meatballs are coated in this glossy, flavorful glaze, enhancing their moisture and adding a sweet and tangy dimension complemented by the slight heat of ground ginger and cinnamon.

These glazed turkey meatballs work well as an appetizer or main, served alongside green onions for garnish. The balance of apple and bourbon gives the dish seasonal character and a rich taste without heaviness.
