Ingredients
- 1 lb beef flank
- 1 cabbage abour 2 lb, medium head
- 4 carrot large
- 2 onion medium
- 2 tbsp tomato paste or ketchup
- 3 tbsp neutral cooking oil olive or avocado, generic cooking oil
- 1 tbsp salt adjust to taste
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper adjust to taste, ground
- 1/2 cup butter unsalted
Instructions
- Cut the beef into similar-sized thin strips pieces. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the beef into the pan with oil.
- Grate or thinly slice the carrots and cabbage. Dice the onions into small pieces.
- Add the onions to the skillet and cook them until golden. Next, add the carrots.
- Switch the heat to low and add the cabbage. Cook it down for about 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the tomato paste and butter and stir to combine. Cook for another 10-15 minutes. Serve immediately and enjoy as-is or alongside your favorite grain!
