Breakfast Taco Ring

Eggs, sausage, cheese and hot sauce make the perfect filling for this breakfast taco ring that's so delicious, and easy to make!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 6 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  • 1 lb turkey breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup spicy cheddar cheese shredded
  • 16 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough 2 - 8 count cans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Whisk the eggs, milk, salt, pepper and hot sauce in a medium bowl.
  3. In one skillet over medium heat, add the eggs and scramble.
  4. In another skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the turkey sausage.
  5. Once the eggs are scrambled and the sausage is cooked through, add the sausage and shredded cheese to the scrambled eggs and toss everything together.
  6. Form a ring with the crescent rolls by placing a small glass on the center of a baking stone then staggering the crescent rolls around the glass with the wide ends overlapping in the center.
  7. Add the egg sausage mixture to the middle of the crescent roll ring around the cup.
  8. Remove the glass from the middle and roll the dough up and over the eggs & sausage.
  9. Place the roll in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

  • Vegetarian Option: Omit the turkey sausage.  Substitute 1 lb. meatless crumbles or soy chorizo.
