Brioche Bread Pudding (Crazy Easy)
Description
This simple bread pudding uses rich brioche bread cut into halves and layered in a baking dish along with sliced pears for fruity contrast. A custard mixture of beaten eggs, vanilla extract, sugar, whole milk, and whipping cream is whisked until smooth and poured over the brioche and pears. Letting the bread soak the custard for 30 minutes before baking deepens the custardy texture.
Chocolate chips scattered over the top add pockets of melty sweetness when baked. The dish is baked at 350°F for 35 minutes, setting the custard and achieving a lightly golden surface. The combination of brioche’s buttery crumb, juicy pears, and pockets of chocolate creates a dessert with balanced flavors and a comforting texture.
This approach makes a straightforward, comforting pudding that is approachable for all skill levels and versatile with optional fruit or additions.
