Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 banana ripe
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9X5 loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place the bananas in a large mixing bowl and mash them bananas.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  5. Slowly whisk the flour mixture into the banana mixture until just combined and there are no lumps.
  6. Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. Closely watch the bread and if the top starts getting too brown, lightly tint the bread with foil.
  8. Let the pan cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes and then carefully remove the bread from the loaf pan and let the bread cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Then the bread is ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store any leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4-5 days.
