Brownie Cupcakes

Brownie Cupcakes start with boxed brownie batter poured into lined muffin tins, topped with a peanut butter cup, and baked until set. Once cooled and briefly frozen, a magic shell chocolate topping is added, then decorated with peanut butter chips and sprinkles before an additional freeze for a crisp finish, creating a rich, chocolatey treat with peanut butter accents.

Description

This recipe adapts a boxed brownie mix into individual cupcakes using a muffin pan lined with spray-coated liners. The batter is portioned into the cups and each is topped with a peanut butter cup before baking at 350°F for about 25 minutes or as directed. After baking and cooling, the cupcakes are chilled in the freezer to firm up. They are then topped with a magic shell chocolate topping that hardens when cooled, followed by a sprinkle of peanut butter chips and decorative sprinkles. Freezing again sets the toppings, resulting in a multi-textured dessert: the fudgy brownie base contrasts with the crisp chocolate topping and creamy peanut butter flavors.

This treat combines convenience of store-bought mix with a layered peanut butter and chocolate flavor profile and festive presentation, suitable for parties or indulgent snacks.
