Bruschetta is a popular Italian antipasto made with garlic-rubbed toast and olive oil. The most popular is the tomato version, bruschetta al pomodoro.

Ingredients
- 8 slices bread (baguette or equivalent) (½ inch / 1 cm thick)
- 2 tomatoes (or more), seeded and finely diced
- 1 clove garlic , peeled
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 6 basil leaves , torn (optional)
- fleur de sel

Instructions
- Toast the bread on both sides on a medium-high heat for about 2 minutes per side.
- Rub the garlic on one side of each piece.
- Drizzle with oil.
- Divide the diced tomatoes equally between each piece of toast.
- Sprinkle with basil (optional).
- Season with fleur de sel.
