Bubble Up Enchilada Bake
Description
Bubble Up Enchilada Bake combines the convenience of biscuit dough with the bold flavors of enchiladas. Small pieces of biscuit dough are coated in enchilada sauce and then layered in a baking dish with cooked ground beef seasoned with taco spices and green chiles. This layering creates a dish where soft, pillowy biscuit pieces soak up the sauce flavors while baking.
The casserole is topped with a mixture of cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, which melt and brown slightly to add a creamy and mildly spicy finish. Baking at 350 degrees allows the biscuits to fully cook and the flavors to meld into a single warm dish that is satisfying and filling.
This bake is practical for feeding a group or for a comforting family meal. It can be garnished with fresh cilantro and served with avocado slices or guacamole to add freshness and creaminess. Sour cream or hot sauce can also be added according to preference, making this a flexible meal option.
